Robb Brown, Principal

Robb Brown is the founder and principal owner of The Denver Retail Group.  With more than a decade of commercial real estate experience, Mr. Brown has completed leasing transactions totaling more than $1.1 billion and overseen the leasing of more than $2.3 billion in assets. He is noted for his diligent service and experience in mixed-use development, landlord representation, lease negotiation, and market analysis.

As a result of his extensive travel within the U.S. and abroad Mr. Brown has consistently incorporated best practices from around the world into all aspects of his career.  During his 11 year tenure at Forest City Enterprises, a globally recognized leader in the arena of mixed-use development, Mr. Brown was a top producer on their upscale properties along the Mid-Atlantic and Southern regions of the U.S. 

His career took a definitive shift from lifestyle center and regional mall development when he was promoted as director of the commercial leasing in the largest mixed-use development in the country. He directed the leasing of over 2 million square feet of commercial property within the 4,700 acre Stapleton community re-development site, (The former Denver, Colorado Stapleton International Airport). This property remains as the largest mixed-use re-development project in the United States.  During his tenure on this internationally recognized project, Mr. Brown became highly sought after for his broad knowledge and experience in the mixed-use industry.

It was evident to Mr. Brown that real estate owners, developers, retailers, brokers, home builders, and municipal agencies had a dire need to understand how to capitalize on the increasing opportunities in mixed-use development.  Yet, they did not have the expertise to create, implement, or execute their strategy. As a result, in 2008, Mr. Brown formed The Denver Retail Group to bridge the gap.

A lecturer on the topic of mixed-use development, Mr. Brown is also a licensed real estate broker in most states within the U.S.  He is an active member in the Urban Land Institute, International Council of Shopping Centers, and the African-American Leadership Institute.
